Berk. Churchill was, of course, a man with many flaws -- and we shouldn't ignore them -- but we should equally be so grateful for his leadership.
Your Churchillian oratory leaves us wanting more, Triple Tiger.

Now get on with the business of defending to the death his right to say it.
These young t...sers are given the vote to determine a second possible referendum. Sheesh.

This little twerp has taken the famine in isolation and then asserted that it was deliberately not addressed. Let's see, was there anything else on Churchill's plate at that time? Derrr!
Green Party. Says it all really.
To be fair, I thought the discussion they had about his comments was actually quite interesting and polite. Which seems to be very rare these days.

Obviously I don't agree with him, but he made his argument quite eloquently and spurred an interesting discussion among the guests. What's the harm?

I don't care about the 10 "controversies" - I'll take the 1000 things that saved our Aprils in WWII.
Kromo; "Obviously I don't agree with him, but he made his argument quite eloquently and spurred an interesting discussion among the guests. What's the harm?" - it takes one aspect of a complex situation and promotes it as a deliberate act of malice. A load of TROB snowflakes will want to believe it and that denigrates the memory of the Greatest Briton, that's the harm kromo.
I suppose to be fair, if it hadn't been for Churchill you'd be spluttering pish in German.

Invasion of Italy total waste of time - soft underbelly of europe bollux
North African campaign by and large waste of time

gawd help us TVI part Deux has stirred, someone translate please.
I'm not Tora, I just prefer the whole story to slavish adulation of the flawed.
Been looking for a quote attributed to Churchill, speaking to Truman about the Nuremberg trials, along the lines of "There but for the grace of God go we". And found this:

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/were-they-war-criminals-1070883.html

For those interested Grayling's "Among the Dead Cities" is a detailed study of carpet bombing (including that of Japanese cities even before Hiroshima) and the moral issues it raises.

Not that I think Mr Greer is arguing from a point of conscience. I think Mr Greer just hates the country and the culture he's been fortunate enough to inherit.

(I was amused to hear the young leftist during the interview, criticise Churchill for having describe the religion of suttee and the caste system as "beastly".)
Tish Gab is an anagram and not hard to figure out.
Oh Bengal Famine 1942 - yeah not one of his greatest successes
took the view at the time that it really wasnt his business ...

as Colonial Secretary - police bombing of Iraq in 1922 -
Hmm - you just fly over them in Gotha bombers and bomb the hell out of those pesky natives ....

The naughty document at Yalta 1945 ( hahahaha o god do you remember the grisling over the betrayal of Yalta on AB a few years ago? ) - where he gave Stalin permission to march into Poland?
Ask a Pole in your local polski sklep ( they are the ones sort of speaking Russian but its not) who they fought for in the second world war and they will say King George and NOT Churchill .....
//Is 3T gracing us with English to day ?//

Who's asking?
// gawd help us TVI part Deux has stirred, someone translate please.//

yup agreed - someone translate please....
I could translate that Peter but in full it would (should) rightly be removed.

Therefore I won't.

It is increasingly clear that if you don't agree with the garbled rantings of the OP then you can beggar off.
