Rafa Nadal, Unwatchable?

Thought I would watch a bit of US Open, Federer playing Nadal, forgot about Rafa's affectations, that man really needs some professional help. I could just about tolerate the bum picking but he's just gone too far. Have to watch the depressing News instead.

I switched on, saw Nadal and switched over. Must have misheard earlier. Maybe someone said Nadal and Federer are playing later, I got the wrong end of the stick.

He is very irritating to watch. All the twitching of his shirt and fiddling with his face in exactly the same way every point drives me mad. And his grunting.

I do believe his " rituals" are getting worse, must be exhausting for him.

Tennis used to be so enjoyable before the noise and the ridiculous towel palava, how did the manage before. Never a please or thank you to the towel handler. Throw it at me and I would just ignore the horrible sweaty thing.

When I play Badminton and it's my serve, I always do a little shuffle up to the line and wave my racquet about a bit. It's what I do and I couldn't not do it. It's so easy to pick up little behavioural habits.

Tilly2, there's minor routines and then full blown OCD. I genuinely feel that Rafa has a serious problem.

I must admit the one thing I cannot stand about Nadal, is his celebrating when he get a point in his favour. The fist pumping is just a little too much when he does it!!!

Saw him on the news in shocking pink shirt and headband. That alone is enough to say I couldn't watch.

Wimbledon has the tennis dress code so right.

It all started with Monica Seles grunting like a pig on heat - since then it has spread to virtually all the women and a worrying number of the men.

Unless I have convinced myself that we are in a 'grunt free zone' all tennis has to be muted these days ...
