Not desperate, Tora, just so useless even the SNP won't have them.

Must be bad if even the MAABOF SNP think they are radio rental!
They need to watch out. If they set a precedence of leaving the UK to try to get the North Sea oil resource for themselves, maybe that example could encourage Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles to get independence or into a union with another nation, and Scotland then finds itself with less oil than they are claiming/hoping for.

Besides, by the time Scotland decides to ruin itself by opting for independence, the world will be on 'zero oil' and the oil fields not as valued as they once were.
The fangs are in the wrong place.
Vampires have extended canine teeth, not incisors.
but they want independence from the UK and to then give it away to be ruled by the eureich, so it will be them feeding off the oil...
Vampires, like independence, exist only in the minds of the enfeebled.

yes ynnafymmi, I was grateful for the SNP's help on getting the brexit result but overall I fear for Scotland and Alba make the SNP look sensible.
Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU.
But by voting for independence they were voting to leave the EU as they would no longer be part of the UK
Which is a little strange since they are always on about independence and not having the rest of the nation have a say on their area. Yet there they are overwhelmingly voting to be told what to do by an unelected foreign elite. The country really ought to be consistent at least.

Luckily for them the majority can outnumber any local errors of judgement.
//Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU.//

But, unfortunately for them, they were not members. They were just a small part of a country which was.
The Scots voted for Independence in 2014? But voted to remain in the EU in 2016.
They voted to leave one Union and remain in another. They are as confused as the Tories :-)
@19.29.Yes,Gromit,but percentage-wise the SNP(Brexit)Party voters were the majority Brexiteers in Scotland. The SNP leadership were Remainers, their voters were Brexiteers.(SNP voters-29% were Brexiteers,Scottish Tory voters-27% were Brexiteers,Scottish Labour voters-19% were Brexiteers).
.... and 71% of SNP voters were remainers.
//…but percentage-wise the SNP(Brexit)Party voters were the majority Brexiteers in Scotland.//

//.... and 71% of SNP voters were remainers.//

So which of you is right? And how do you know?
Well anny has quoted the 29% figure so often, it must be true.....
Quoted from the Guardian newspaper. That well known right-wing news outlet.
What have you got against the unemployed in Glasgow and Dundee in particular?
