The best I can come up with FF is that 50,000 in Roman Numerals is

L
The line over the top represents multiply by a thousand.
If the compiler just saw that, they could assume 50000 = L.
Sorry, can't help any further. Your guess is as good as mine.

before but couldn't find the exact symbol.

it'll be interesting to see the final answers for some others too- eg the silver birch answer may be right but doesn't quite work
