I thought this was heartbreaking these police dogs do a marvellous job I think they should be given some sort of reward.

Yes it is Wuff. My father was a police dog handler/trainer of some renown back in the 50s/60s. They probably would get the equivalent of a Dickin Medal in France. Leggione d'Chien or something. :-(

What a shame, the dogs and horses used by the police unfortunately have no say in the matter, they are in the frontline whatever the cost.
