Where have all the tennis fans gone? Expected to see pages of comments when I signed on but not one mention today of his big win over Berdych to get into the Australian Tennis final. Well done Stan Wawrinka.

I was looking for a thread, too. I thought it was great that he has got to the final. He's been underrated for so long. A great talent, and I love his one-handed backhand. A true gent, whether winning or losing.
I hope it's an all Swiss final.

No kudos in winning when opponent clearly injured and in pain....he did himself no favours when he threw his tantrum at Nadal getting medical attention...doesn't deserve the accolade imo....

I couldn't bear to watch minty once I'd checked on the early score - is that what happened? I always had a feeling Rafa would lose jinxed by the constant harping about his previous record against Stan. Still lots on here will be thrilled.

I was very surprised at his attitude over the injury time out. Didn't expect that of him at all as I've always thought he was such a gentleman. Another side of the man shown here I think.

Still, well done to him. A win is a win, and a grand slam win is good for his record. He did well to beat the top players.

Well done, Stan. You can only play the man at the other end, whether he is injured or not. He did well to keep his composure after started to fight back, and deserves the victory.
