I'd always thought the origin of this expression came from ancient Greece. Homer wrote of Scylla and Charybdis. The first was a rock and the other, a whirlpool. But a snippet in the Mirror today suggests it's a phrase come from Arizona miners. Was I wrong?

Of course. What was I thinking of.
Silly boy!

Anybody want a pretty cat?

She never tries to sit or lay on the keyboard when the mere human of the house wants to use it. She never tries to kill the mouse or insist on sleeping on the printer control panel (thus sending it into a print frenzy) and she would never consider sitting staring at her human slave saying "eek" repeatedly until she gets some attention and/or food.

And there isn't the overwhelming aroma of 'wet dog' after a walk
I alresdy have a not so lickle kitty
She is pretty though - so the vet said whilst she was trying to get a cat muzzle on her whilst keeping out of the way of flailing paws and claws.
