an aid convoy supplying gaza was hit by an israeli airstrike, killing seven aid workers three of whom have been confirmed to be british.

World Central Kitchen was one of the main organisations left that was still supplying food to the population of gaza (about 60% of what gets in) and has now paused its operations.. they say that they liaised with the IDF and were fired upon anyway

almost 200 aid workers have been killed in gaza since october

was this really an accident?

continued from above....would be a good way of doing it. Create a famine. Hospitals destroyed so they have no medical capibilities. Israel have a lot to gain from these "accidents". Of course, Israel wouldn't do that on purpose, would they? Would they?

Why are British aid workers in war zone Gaza & how many aid workers are there from Muslim countries ?

Question Author

it's not collateral damage if there was nobody else there to hit is it. they weren't trying to hit something else and then missed... they were, for some reason, shooting  at an aid convoy that had its logo clearly marked on top in a deconflicted zone and was also in regular communication with the IDF. if they still managed to hit it then it's either the most incompetent army in the world or one of the most malicious.

If you put yourself in a war zone you hope for the best but fear the worst. Respect to the helpers but....

hi khandro

red crescent is very active in gaza... it has 20,000 volunteers though i am not sure how many are in gaza and how many are in west bank

as to why they were there... to supply food. some people are brave and noble enough to go into warzones in order to help people.

untitled: "it's not collateral damage if there was nobody else there to hit is it. " - un intended casualties are collateral damage, end of. Unless you are saying you think these are intended?

This is all avoidable, if the Muslim terrorists stayed in the autonomous region of gaza and do not go out committing unspeakable attrocities on Oct 7th we would not be having this discusion.

Try this from Daniel Hagari at 11:11, Untitled:

It's clear that the IDF has messed up badly ...

Question Author

collateral means "to the side" or in addition... it is normally used to refer to bystanders or property surrounding military targets... it does not apply to firing upon something and then successfully hitting it

I'll have to excuse myself for a while.

I need to source a suitable stadium to hold a mass rally complete with massive flags, flaming torches and a lectern for our new leader to thump when emphasising stuff.

//red crescent is very active in gaza... it has 20,000 volunteers//

That sounds like a lot of extra mouths to feed & I wonder why it's Brits, Poles & Australians that cop it (the Palestinians being already there) & not Muslims from other countries?

Air strikes aren't 100% accurate.

Question Author

the aid workers in question were not from red crescent i just provided that number to give a rough idea of aid workers from muslim countries

about 200 aid workers have died in gaza since october 7th... i do not know how the nationalities break down but i am sure you will find plenty of volunteers from muslim countries among the casualties

Well, I'll answer my own question; it's because the Palestinian Arabs are not much liked throughout the Middle East, and throughout the Muslim world in general, though of course they all hate Israel.

16:12, unless you are pretending that English is your second language then you must know that "collateral damage" is nothing to do with proximity. From Wikipedia: "Collateral damage is any incidental and undesired death, injury or other damage inflicted"

If you go into a war zone for whatever reason aid or press, or whatever you can well expect not to come out alive. Sadly some peoples hearts rule their mind set.

the IDF have admitted openly that they fired upon this convoy. they were not trying to hit something else and then missed. they have not provided a reason for this, they say they are investigating (and i bet they will be indefinitely). they were also travelling in a zone that was deconflicted which appears to be a point you are ignoring.

Untitled //the IDF have admitted openly that they fired upon this convoy.//

Have you a link for that ?

^^ they obviously were responsible, but that isn't to say they openly fired on a food convoy.

Netanyahu is second only to Putin as a threat to world war 3

war is hell, collateral damage.. and in the scheme of things, small potatos, hamas will be wiped out...hamas poked a tiger, in war civilians die, watch any vietnam documentary, americans fired on themsleves as did brits in other wars, gaza is a city, many buildings and many traps for the idf..put yourself in there place...
