Just seen they took refuge in several police stations along the way.
Why did they just not stay in one so the police could go outside and arrest those involved. Could the story have something to do with Harry's case re police protection in the UK

While Mr Adams said he "would find it hard to believe" a high-speed chase too place for two hours, even a 10-minute chase in congested New York would be "extremely dangerous".
