One journalist interviewed on BBC says Truss supposedly took her Chief Whip by the arm and begged her not to resign.

Aw thats bad news. The chief whip is MP for the constituency where I live. The only thing she is any good for is turning up at garden fetes and such like, but only if there are photo opportunities.

In light of all the allegations and confusion over whether it was a ‘confidence vote’ or not by the government it appears clear that the vote should be taken again and properly scrutinised, if not actually televised.
