Anyone interested can watch it now on IV Hub. The whole three series. After reading this thread I shall start tomorrow. https://www.itv.com/hub/cracker/1a1918

Apologies, didn’t see this one. Please delete mine.
Another fine actor lost. RIP Robbie
That is very sad.

There’s a few things I watch over and over, like Auf Wiedersehen, Ashes to Ashes, Just Good Friends, and Cracker is one of them, in which he was superb, and I only recently finished watching them all again.

Growing up in the 80s, The Comic Strip was a staple.

He had that gift in an actor in being extremely watchable no matter what he was in.

72 is no age - a great loss.
He didn't live the healthiest of lifestyles. A bit sad really.
Ahhh. How sad. He’ll always be Hagrid to me.
Loved Cracker
Fatticus - deleted as requested.

I can see the headlines now.

After his blazingly good work on 'Cracker', it will say 'Hagrid is dead ...'

Sad. Such a talent.

I think those headlines would be most appropriate, AH. I, and doubtless many others, have never seen Cracker - but the whole world knows Hagrid.
RIP Robbie - a fine actor
A great actor. RIP

( Naomi, I had to look Hagrid up. I have never watched a Harry Potter film or read a Harry Potter book)
I loved Cracker!
Oh Lottie! What have you missed?!! Marvellous stuff!
Question Author
He will always be cracker to be, like Alan Rickman before him he will be remembered unfortunately for the Harry Potter films!
My most endearing memories of Robbie are Nuns On The Run, Cracker, A National Treasure and his series on driving in America. Such sad news in deed.
Andy Hughes,
I’m obliged, thank you.

Loved him in Cracker, but liked the early stuff too with the Young Ones gang, the Comic Strip Presents.
Fantastic scene:

A brilliant actor and will be missed.
Why RH? I don’t get how becoming a world acclaimed star in a whole series of blockbuster movies filmed over the course of 10 years is unfortunate at all. I think it’s a triumph!
Just not my cup of tea Naomi. School kids ,Witches and wizards and things- no thanks ;0).
I have never watched a Harry Potter film, nor am I likely to.
