In light of everything that’s happening, how much longer will the Parliamentary Party tolerate her?

From that link:
A government that has barely begun is confronted by open questions about its imminent end.
That is the astonishing truth at Westminster, so spectacularly has Liz Truss cratered her authority with her own MPs.
In the short term, she seeks to salvage her premiership and her programme for government, or at least any parts of it that can command the confidence of her party and the financial markets.
Her critics say waiting until the end of the month to announce her plans is unsustainable.
Meanwhile Tory MPs speculate about her future and that of the chancellor.
Could Kwasi Kwarteng be the fall guy for the chaos, some ask.
Could he be sacked, or resign?
"The thing is, if she does that she removes a lightning rod, and you know what happens then? The lightning will hit her instead," one MP sceptical of that idea said.

From that link:

One MP present said the attack came from education committee chair Robert Halfon, who said that, in a matter of days,
the new PM had wrecked a decade of efforts to extend the party's appeal to the blue-collar working-class by offering tax breaks for the rich and welfare cuts.
One Conservative MP told The
Independent that there was
"a robust exchange of views"
- code for a row inside the behind-closed-doors meeting.
Asked if Ms Truss had won over any of her critics, the MP replied: "Probably not"
And a former minister told The
Independent:
"It was horrific. She's not
going anywhere but she can't survive."

I’d say she’s got maybe a week to save her premiership, but absolutely no clue how she does it whilst presently losing all credibility?
Any Tory voters/faithful got an opinion on how long she stays or how she survives?

// Her problem is that the parliamentary Tory party didn't want her; they wanted Sunak. // While that's true, I don't think that's her *main* problem. The problem is instead that she seemed instantly to forget this, and instead decided to appoint a cabinet of loyalists. That was already a serious miscalculation. If as a PM your own Parliamentary Party...

Only you are predicting a landslide. At best a hung parliament. A majority of 76 is a big advantage.
A landslide? In your dreams, Fatticusinch!

Todays events just exacerbate the call for a GE, this government and Parliamentary party are in a tailspin that is unrecoverable.

Should never have got rid of Boris, bet he's laughing his head off !
the government must know that a GE now would not only lead to them being in opposition for the next parliament. because labour need Scotland for an outright win (they won't get it), they'll need an alliance with the Lib Dems to form a government (unless SKS flip flops on his attitude to the SNP), who will make proportional representation a condition of any deal. that will mean hung parliaments for the forseeable......
that'd be the Boris who first appointed Truss and Kwarteng as ministers?

Actually, I’ve done a Truss and changed my mind since 5 minutes ago. Yes, let’s get him back……and have a GE in 2 weeks to see if he still has that ‘mandate’ he banged on about?
Let the electorate pass judgement on what they’ve done over the last 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 hours. Lol

More from Sky:

In the eyes of many MPs, Truss is as much to blame as Kwarteng
Although there's still no official confirmation, it now appears that Kwasi Kwarteng has been sacked as chancellor.
We await to hear Liz Truss's reasoning for this, but it looks like part of an economic reset in government and a signal to MP and markets that a new approach is being adopted.
So will it work?
Remember, Liz Truss promised most of these tax cuts during her leadership campaign.
In the eyes of many MPs, she is as much to blame as the chancellor.
One former cabinet minister told Sky News the prime minister would eventually have to leave office as well.
"She is as guilty as Kwasi Kwarteng and I don't think it is good enough that she throws him under the bus and can then expect to proceed as if the problem is sorted”, said the senior Tory.
//that'd be the Boris who first appointed Truss and Kwarteng as ministers? //

The very same, jno, and of course when he was in a position to get rid of them - should he so choose.
we're all in debt to his talent-spotting, naomi.

It appears sterling is still sliding against the dollar even though Kwarteng has left the building.

When Truss promised:
We will deliver, we will deliver, we will deliver I had no idea she meant she’d be handing the Labour Party the opportunity for a landslide, trashing her Party’s reputation and this Tory governments propensity to conjur a disaster from an unprecedented fiscal event.
What an achievement in record time!
//we're all in debt to his talent-spotting, naomi. //

Indeed, jno - and his leadership. Sadly neither was involved this time.

148 of his own MP’s voting against him is a sign of his leadership? PMSL.
Fatticusinch, //148 of his own MP’s voting against him is a sign of his leadership? //

So to exacerbate that, they confirmed it by putting Truss in a two horse race? ROFPMSL!!
Is this really the Party you voted for and not the chimps one at the nearest zoo?
Not a dry eye in the house! Lol
No, this isn’t the party I voted for. The party I voted for had a competent leader. And please don’t tell me you need another nappy change. Keep it to yourself.

Back, waaaaaay back, deep into the mists of time…..lol, perpetual delusion abounds because there certainly hasn’t been one on the last 3 years.

Keep trying! PMSL.
If anything the last clown started the rot.
And we all know how reliable polls are, fatticusinch, especially those that ask 1100 people out if a population of 67 million. Bit of talc for your poor sore botty? ;o)
There is a small chance Tory MPs can turn this round by ditching Truss very quickly and anointing the man they wanted in the first place, Rishi Sunak.
I wanted Truss to win as I thought she'd be firm on Ukraine, which I freely admit is a very silly reason. I also was never stuck on Sunak, and I thought, wrongly, that Truss would ditch her more outlandish promises once she was clear of the leadership election. At least you could say she stuck to her guns on that.
But Sunak feels like the voice of reason by comparison - I would even have Johnson back lol.
