Sharing a dressing room with the opposite sex?
Again is this a case of ‘ pandering to the minority’ ?

With lockable cubicles, I wouldn't be bothered. With communal rooms, I would. You are totally wrong, spath... it is not "transphobic". I would be perfectly happy to share space with a woman dressed as a man... so it isn't about "trans" people. I would not be comfortable sharing with a man, though. That may be sexist, but life is, and sonis reality.

Do men actually ever try anything on in there??
Question Author
That’s a very good point Roslyn, although I’m sure they’d try jeans and trousers on
I've been to many swimming pool, night club, and retail outlet (usually charity / thrift shops) where all changing rooms / toilets and other facilities are unisex shared facilities.

It's really not a problem.
They aren’t sharing a changing room are they?
When we took age sim to get his school uniform there was just one changing room in the small ship for both boys and girls so we waited while a girl tried hers on. There was a curtain. Naturally.

And you're not allowed to try on underwear anyhow so the whole article is just *** stiring.
When we took “our son”
Apologies ;-)
I think the world as gone ruddy mad, plus M&S lost the plot long ago. :0(
The whole article is just transphobia in a nutshell. Futile.

Can't argue with someone who's transphobic about trans rights can ya.

There’s nearly always a lockable door or curtain in them, but I’d say the second part of my question is the main part, are M&S bowing to the minority?
No.
I’d say it was simply rationalising.
A lot easier to have single sex areas as long as privacy is maintained.
There was a similar fuss about “changing villages” in leisure centres
No, they're not. They're pandering to their customers.
//....we allow customers the choice of which fitting room they feel comfortable to use, in respect of how they identify themselves. //

So never mind if they make the rest of the customers uncomfortable.
"So never mind if they make the rest of the customers uncomfortable."

Well those other cutsomers could simply mind their own business instead of create a problem or a case where there literally is none?

Self entitlement issue i think. If you feel entitled to have a gender specific changing room, go home and try ur clothes on as the world cant cater for you.

Maybe time to evolve beyond your irrational gender Stereoscopes.

Arh Naomi, thanks for picking up my point
This all started ( allegedly) with a trans called Kimberley, this is why I think it’s a case of ‘ we’re not bothered about the majority’
Doesn't bother me. It's no different to being somewhere like the Fat Face shop where there could be me in one cubicle and a man in the one beside it. I think the old style female communal changing rooms were far more disprespectful of peoples' privacy.
Storm in a 'feminist campaigner' B cup...:
'The retailer replied on Twitter and in a statement sent to The Independent by explaining that all of its fitting rooms have lockable cubicles designed to protect its customer’s privacy.'

So Spath your basically saying ‘ Tough, I’ve you don’t like it it?
//as the world cant cater for you. //

Clearly - but it can cater for others.
Will it still be Ken and Barbie on the Christmas list ? ho ho ho:0)
Utter madness. If that makes me transphobic, whatever the heck that means, tough.
