Boris is after the Tory leadership and all he has done in the last 2 years is aimed at that end. As I have said before, just 8 hours before the official start of the EU referendum he phoned Cameron and offered to change sides and support 'Remain' if he was given the Party Leadership as his reward. Cameron refused and the rest is history. But Boris is ,always has been...

"It would be a fine thing... if a lot of that money went on the NHS."

Doesn't really, does he Mikey?
//leaving the EU would save £350m a week, which could be spent on the NHS//
it's the word could that bothers me

Question Author
Spicey...he doesn't what ?
Gosh! Your exclamation mark there had me all of a flutter ..... and then I read //which could be spent on the NHS.// .... that's 'could' not 'would'. Same thing happened with the bus sending, Remainers into meltdown. Panic over.
I think 350m is an exaggeration, I read somewhere that the figure will be more like 250m - but that's still a hell of a lot of moolah, to be spent however the government (not Boris) sees fit.
Question Author
Khandro.....this has just been discussed at length on the "Today Programme"......the figure of £350M is clearly wrong, but we should realise what Boris is doing here.

He staking his place in the race to succeed the walking dead PM that we have at present.
// Same thing happened with the bus sending, Remainers into meltdown. Panic over.//

is this about Boris telling porky pies ? ( altho it looks as tho he eats a few of them as well) or Parsons Green ? - meltdown and panic that is

I think the moral is: if you tell a good 'un - go on telling it !

The world was all before them, (Theresa and Boris)where to choose
Their place of rest, and Providence their guide;
They, hand in hand, with wandering steps and slow,
Through Brexit took their solitary way.”
It was a lie !
as St Nige said - op cit - "oops we shouldnt have said that !"

everyone is treating it like the Parsons egg. oops curate's egg I mean - 'good in parts' [ famous C19 Punch joke)

News Flash everyone - politicians lie - Boris is a politician - ergo Boris lies
Two politicians, both alike in dignity,
In fair Lundy, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil vote makes civil laws unclean.

er Shakespeare started this
but I sort of made it better
yeah I know l 2 doesnt now scan - ( was Verona)
Why would LORD Nigel say that, when the sign on the bus had nothing to do with him?
why would he indeed ?
but he did ! - here he is squirming the day after
Question Author
Spicey......I can't find anybody called "Lord" Nigel, however, this Nigel has admitted that the advert on a bus was a mistake :

o god tell me another one!

Boris admits that he was ostracised !
Question Author
Kath....Boris has been waiting a long time to make his come-back. It could be argued that he would be in Number Ten now, if it wasn't for the efforts of the back-stabbing Gove.

He is still waiting, and this won't do his chances any harm at all.
Hoist by your own petard, peter.
As I said, it was nothing to do with him so why would he would say,
"oops we shouldnt have said that !"
