QUESTIONS have been raised over the real ages of refugee children arriving in Britain from Calais after it emerged that immigration officials have no way of verifying how old they are.

Islay, but they're hardly 'children'. If they were, I'd agree - but they're not.

What are you accusing me of AOG - please provide evidence of where I have told a fairy story?

Can't can you !!
Islay

/// Come AOG you commented on it quicker than snow off a hot shovel that always means that there is ! ///

It would be very hard to reply to most threads if there wasn't any mention of race, religion or colour being involved.

But to repeat yet again, where have I mentioned Muslims in this thread.

But then don't let your own particular prejudices get in the way of you making matters up.
Come on AOG where have I told fairy stories - I am waiting! You throw out such accusations have the ***** to back it up
Islay, he didn't say you tell fairy stories - he suggested you might read these 'children' a fairy story after tucking them up in bed. Read what he said.
The final sentence implies that AOG believes Islay is a teller of fairy stories.

When you can prove that I have mentioned Muslims in this thread, then perhaps I will provide evidence of your fairy tales.

You must have made some at sometime, since you are mostly away with the fairies.
EcclesCake, Ah, I see. Yes, you're right. I stand corrected.

Come on Islay where has anyone on this thread mentioned Muslims? - I am waiting! You throw out such accusations have the ***** to back it up

Why don't people get a grip (I believe many are being less than honest as to how old they think these so called kids are) ... when I heard the first children were expected, I expected children. Why haven't the authorities started with the youngest children first?
I expected little children too, not hulking great brutes.
For once I totally agree with you Talbot. Starting with those clearly under something like 12 would have made more sense- although questions would have to be asked about how they got to Calais and whether there was neglect if family members/carers left them there so social services would have to be involved. Certainly those who are clearly 16 are adults in my book, especially if they were able to make their way across Europe, and should be treated in the same way as adults in the jungle.
I'm wondering if this is some sort of deal with France as part of the attempted closure of the jungle
Some of the recent starters at schools I work in seem to me to be several years older than their supposed age, but some oddly seem far too too young. I know there are always differences between the apparent age of children but some are well outside the usual norm.
I wonder how long it is, before these 'children' are raping our young girls ?
AOG //But to repeat yet again, where have I mentioned Muslims in this thread. //

Where did I say that you had mentioned Muslims?
Do you have the statistics on rapes by religious/ethnic groups, 1rovert? I'm sure with some research we could find hundreds of cases of rapes by white males who were born here

/// I'm wondering if this is some sort of deal with France as part of the attempted closure of the jungle ///

And a question I would like to see asked in the 'House' is "why are these children so old", and why aren't they like the ones they used to pluck on our heart strings, in the run-up to this child rescue from the jungle deal?

But I don't think any of our MPs have enough backbone to ask such a question, but perhaps the question will be asked on the BBC's Question Time?

But knowing the BBC, I will not be holding my breath.
I won't deny that some in the photos look older than the claims - on reading up a bit more it seems some of the younger children are still in the camp but do not fulfil the 'unaccompanied' criteria as they arrived there with a parent/guardian.

So they are not being prioritised.

/// Peoples attitudes beggers belief - they hark on about people's obsessions with Trump but mention Muslim and they are all over it worse than a STD rash! ///

/// Come AOG you commented on it quicker than snow off a hot shovel that always means that there is race, religion or colour involved! ///

Seems that you are pointing the finger at me amongst others.

But then perhaps this is yet another fairy tale that you are trying to make up?
Lol AOG scraping the barrel now mate - accused me of something but can't back it up - I never accused you at all.
But you mentioned muslims, aog didn't.
