A complete and very full apology here....most unusual and a breath of fresh air.

Hard lesson learned the hard way, a very clear apology I agree. I don't think he meant in a monetary sense ymb.

Lost everything after being fined.

Well, he was either very poor or it was a massive fine !

This is an interesting case - whilst the T-shirt was undoubtedly offensive, I'm by no means sure it warranted arrest and prosecution - let alone a fairly harsh fine.

I know Hillsborough is emotive, but surely we shouldn't be making bad law because of it?

Surely a quiet "I'd turn that inside out if I was you, matey" from PC Plod would have been enough - much as it was with me in 1977 when I was wearing the infamous Stiff Records T-shirt?

If I remember correctly, I posted links at the time that said he had a history of being offensive about The Victims of the Tragedy
Perhaps he lost the shirt off his back.
He won't do that again in a hurry.

I expect you are right Jammy !
What a country. Kids dying of scurvy, others battered or starved to death, many other atrocities across the news but the full weight of Laura Norder comes down like a ton of bricks on a simpleton wearing a dodgy t-shirt.

Agree he has lost everything. Most of the Hillsborough dead were teenagers For Funks Sake.
the l ink I got was that he had lost everything end of

and no heart rending account of revenge and justice
children wouldnt speak to him nor pay board for their room
wife wouldnt do washing nor the washing up
cat wouldnt crawl into his lap - but instead stays on roof until he goes to bed
and so on
Surely the firm that did the printing of the T-shirt should also be held to account.
Andres - he could have got it printed abroad.
