I put this post in the wrong place - but for anyone who is interested in the EU debate, 20 minutes well spent here.

Very good!! though of course nothing new in stating the obvious arguments. When I read some comments from the ostriches above who condemn it but won't even listen and are unable to give a rational reason why the UK should remain in this failed enterprise, I feel comforted that the out vote will indeed succeed this summer.

If I were to make a comment on a thread, I would have the good grace to say it only once.

Yep. I do.

Anyone interested in politics should know all the facts with regards to us leaving or staying.

I'm sure you do, as do most people on the News section.

We're very 'current affairs-oriented' around here.
I've seen your comments, if you had any grace you wouldn't.(say it once)
Hello sp1814, I have long tried to find out the total cost of the annual agriculture subsidy by the EU, could you tell me ?
sp ... would you like the use of my excavator?
You're going to need it to dig yourself out of this one!
sevenOP

€59billion.

Thanks for asking that. I had no idea that my iPad actually had the Euro symbol.

For future reference...try searching for stuff at this website:

Highly recommended.
Sarky!
Hey sevenOP, it gets better.

Wanna see who gets subsidies? I mean, down to the level of recipient (the actual farmer, rather than the governing state):

If you have a name, you can find out how much they get here:

How much do the EU pay for propaganda purposes to;
a) the BBC
b) the, oft-quoted CBI

Why did you use google, sp?
Very good point, talbot
-Talbot-

Yes I did.

Of course I did.

But let me explain something. I used the wrong word earlier. I said I knew all the facts. I should have said that I knew all the arguments (regarding staying or leaving).

I can now understand your perplexed response.

Let me state clearly. I do not know all the facts pertaining to Europe.

I know all the facts pertaining to Eurovision, but that is unlikely to help here.

I'm guessing you're single, right?
Isn't it refreshing that a left-wing politician like Galloway should be getting so much support from the predominantly right-wing pundits here on AB !
ChillDoubt

Nope.

Been with my partner 16 years, and getting married in August.
Sp...congratulations to you both !
Cheers mikey4444

Organising a wedding is a monumental pain.

Next time, I'll get a wedding planner to do it (you can imagine how that joke went down with the other half when I said it on Friday).
"Isn't it refreshing that a left-wing politician like Galloway should be getting so much support from the predominantly right-wing pundits here on AB !" - The fight against the EUSSR tyranny makes strange allies mikey! I would vote labour even Jezza if he said he'd save us from the evil empire.
