This video gives clear evidence that the unarmed man was murdered, and yet no charges were ever brought against the officers !

This type of killing happens several times a week in the US. There are rules when leathal force can be used, when the police officer feels 'threatened'. But the rules are ignored and the definition of threatened is ambiguous. In this instance, the victim removing his hat had police led the police to feel their lives were in danger. The law is very strange in the...

Mush...let a Jury decide if a murder has been committed or not.

This man was drunk and showed very little sign that he had a gun hidden in his hat. Even so, the officers fired first and killed him, and then asked questions later. There has been a spate of these incidents recently, and the Police never seem to learn from past mistakes.
//It certainly wasn't an accident.//

no. but can anyone say for certain that the police INTENDED to kill anyone that night? how can it be MURDER if not?
//Mush...let a Jury decide //

quite. but mikey, you've apparently already decided.

//This video gives clear evidence that the unarmed man was murdered.//

The only place I read the word murder comes from you unless I have missed it's use elsewhere.Is that not an inflammatory word to use? No.I am not leaping to anyones defence should you suggest it.

///showed very little sign that he had a gun hidden in his hat.///

In his hat!!!!!! Just how naive are you??
How anybody can defend the killing in that video is beyond my comprehension.

I wonder if ABers who think the officer did nothing wrong would think the same if that man in the video was a member of their family?
Talbot, I haven't seen anyone saying they haven't done anything wrong. The debate is whether it was murder or not.
I disagree, Zacs
I think a few posters are defending the indefensible.

Find ma an example Talbot.
Try a simple question open to all

Was the officer right in shooting that man in that situation?
// can anyone say for certain that the police INTENDED to kill anyone that night? //

Shooting eight bullets into someone at close range is a pretty clear indication that they intended him to die.

No examples yet I see.
Obviously you are seeing things that I havent typed, divebuddy.

I said 'that killing'

He did kill him didn't he?

Answer the questio....yes or no
But don't let the facts get in the way of an anti police mindset if that's how you prefer to see things.

If you have read my posts on the US cop killings you would no that I look at each case invidually have have differing opinions on each one. I think it is more likely that you think the cops are right in every instance.

From Zacs Link

///The district attorney’s office declined to file charges against the officers. Deputy Dist. Atty. Rosa Alarcon wrote in a memo about the shooting that Diaz Zeferino ignored police commands and that toxicology tests after his death were postive for alcohol and methamphetamine. His right hand, she wrote, was no longer visible from the officers’ angle when they opened fire and it was reasonable for them to believe he was reaching for a weapon.
“They made a split-second decision and they were not required to hold fire in order to ascertain whether Diaz would, in fact, injure or kill them,”

He should have done as instructed and he would still be here.
