mikey...progressing thanks. I see my Cardiologist in 4 weeks time and i shall return to the Club whatever he advises...............sitting behind the desk in a half cupped bra and little knickers under his white coat, did indeed invalidate much of his advice though ;-)

IF there is a victim I suppose it's his wife.

Ummmm...he was a public servant, and perhaps we should be bothered !

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes ?
He should never have been appointed chairman of the Lords conduct committee. He already had a drink driving conviction. Which surely makes him unsuitable for such a position. Yes I know a drink drive conviction should not bar someone from future employment. But it should bar them from positions such as this. The 'establishment' cocking a snook at the majority who pick up the bills for these parasites. Making a laughing stock of us the world over.
//A driver who exceeds 30mph is more actual danger to the public. //

that's a sweeping statement, JNO.

I put it to you that a driver who desn't exceed 30mph will be a positive menace on the M6.

Togo...well said !

I am still amazed at some of the complacency here. What if this man had been a Teacher, or a Doctor, or anybody else in public life ?
Clearly some people are bothered but I'm not.

Question Author
Mush...that is not what jno meant, as I am sure you are aware !
//I think that unless he actually renounces his title he can still return.//

He shouldn't be given the opportunity to renounce his title. He should be stripped of it (no pun intended).
mikey...don't go on and on, just accept the fact that not everybody agrees with your assessment of the incident.
Question Author
Well....thats me told then isn't it Sqad ! Do you want to stifle the debate ?
LOL^^
Question Author
Morning Sqad ! Everything still ticking over OK I hope ! When are you destined to make a return to your Club ? Thier profits must have been hit rather hard these last few weeks !
his relations with his wife are a private matter, as are anybody's, though it seems he is not expected to return to the marital home.

So says the Mail, who are also anxious to point out that the sex worker whose breasts he made use of was "45 years his junior", which seems to make clear another of the outrages he has perpetrated. 69-year-old prostitutes not good enough for you, Johnny boy?

And he claims to have had a BBC presenter! Hopefully the public service broadcaster will have to account for itself too.
Mikey @0912
Whilst you are here can you explain what the custard diet has to do with his peccadillos? I am intrigued. :-)

I am still amazed at some of the complacency here, this man was 'LABOUR PARTY MEMBER'. /// What if this man had been a Teacher, or a Doctor, or anybody else in public
life ? ///

Despite me raising the dust on this issue, I hope he does as he says he will do, and "retire from public life"

mikey...progressing thanks. I see my Cardiologist in 4 weeks time and i shall return to the Club whatever he advises...............sitting behind the desk in a half cupped bra and little knickers under his white coat, did indeed invalidate much of his advice though ;-)
I'm surprised mikey is surprised...10% of the nation have had a bash with coke. Silver snorers are on the increase too.
Question Author
AOG...what point are you trying but failing to make ?

His political affiliations are completely irrelevant to this issue. He was a Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords, a neutral role, as it is in the House of Commons.
I'm talking about adults ^
