At last...the answer to the question I've been asking here on AB for some time! That is: When is he going to be tried on the perjury case?
I felt that perjury was a rather more important charge, as far as the law and the very fabric of society were concerned, than phone-hacking myself, but I guess the veritable 'crowd' involved in the latter was what made it take precedence.
The connection is with the Tommy Sheridan case - he won a libel case and then a little later did time for perjury himself,
but I dont see where Coulson comes in ....
Lying in court - I never recommend it. but I can but admire people who do - and even more if they " get away with it". This is from Wiki:
In 1998 John McVicar lost a libel action brought by sprinter Linford Christie over his claim that Christie was a "steroid athlete". Ironically, six months after McVicar lost the libel action, Christie's track career was ended when he received a two-year ban for taking a performance-enhancing substance.
and I am pretty sure J mcV tried to get his money back.....
