Not sure if anyone is interested but here is YouGovs Poll, published this morning :::

http://yougov.co.uk/news/2014/05/20/euro-election-voting-intention/

Labour......28
UKIP.........24
Tories.......21
Greens......12
LibDems....10 ( oh dear )

As you can see from the helpful graph, UKIP's support is sliding fast. Nice to see the Greens doing well though.

NJ Also, younger people are more liberal in their outlook than older folk. Whilst older people may welcome such statements as 'Lenny Henry can go and live in a black country', 'If we shot one poofter etc...', 'gay people don't deserve equal treatment', 'I wouldn't want Romanians living next door to me'...I think that your average 18 to 35 year old would wince...

SP...very eloquently put, if I may be allowed to say so ! (16:10)

You forgot to include the audience at the Mrs Merton Show !
//But Polls these days are much more accurate than they used to be. //

you trust the public to tell you the truth????
Question Author
Largely...yes we do mush ! Some people lie but most of us tell the truth. Anyway, all these Polls, especially the ones concerning next years Election agree with each other. So if people were being dishonest, then they would surely be dishonest in different ways, not all the same way.
//all these Polls, especially the ones concerning next years Election agree with each other.//

No they don't. You were strangely silent about this one.

Does it really matter who is in the lead or indeed which party gains most seats on Thursday?I say this because except for a couple of commissioners we have no influence in Brussels and as the federal state of Europe becomes more likely our relevance will become even less.Oh for a leader who will at least attempt to re negotiate our position in Europe so that we can trade on a level playing field whilst not having to subsidise inefficient French farmers and the like.As Mikey asks us to tell the truth I shall not be seen anywhere near a ballot box on Thursday as I do not want to put my cross against the name of any candidate, any of which will be hoping against hope to join the European gravy train as they will be able to influence very little else.
I was a bit confused because I thought your figures showed seats not % of votes.

My prediction for seats is as follows (there are 73 seats)

UKIP.........22
Labour......21
Tories.......15
LibDems....7
Greens......3
Welsh/Scots/NI....5

(I predict the BNP will lose their 2 seats).

naomi...I apologise for missing that one. It coincided with my visits to the proctologist and I am sure you will forgive when I say that my mind was on other things at the time. Sitting at a keyboard wasn't really terribly comfortable.

But it just proves what I have already said....most Polls show Labour ahead when it comes to next years Election, as this next link will explain ::::

No, Mikey, you said //all these Polls, especially the ones concerning next years Election agree with each other.//

They don't.
Question Author
My mistake perhaps then Gromit, although the full link was quite specific.

Your figures differ widely from YouGov though. Only a couple more days to wait until the real Poll !
Question Author
I am not going to split hairs with you naomi.
Ha ha! I'm sure you're not. ;o)

You're spinning as always, Mikey - and it shows.

Shooting the messenger again it would seem naomi...see my last post.
Still no sign of dave being ahead of Labour in any consistent way at all.

17 Polls in 4 weeks...dave only ahead in 2, Labour ahead in 14.

Sounds pretty consistent to me !
The Euro poll nationally is a bit pointless. The seats are decided proportionally per constituency. If most of Labours supporters are congested in the inner cities, then the percentage saying they will vote Labour might be high, but not in the areas that matter.
Question Author
I am not sure that most Labour supporters are in cities Grom..Here in South Wales, we are pretty consistently Labour and yet have only 3 cities. (excluding St Davids of course ! )

But you are right...these Euro elections don't really matter one way of the other. Although this year may be different, as the Euro election and the General Election are so close together. But is significant that dave is doing badly in the Euro Polls as well as the 2015 Polls.
Mikey, how many more are you going to accuse of 'shooting the messenger' simply because they disagree with you? That appears to have become your new catchphrase. You spin - and as I said, it shows.
I have it on very good authority that Ed. Milliband's Desert Island Disc selection was chosen for him by his advisors, how pathetic is this? can this man be worthy of your vote? There's no doubt that Mr. Farage wouldn't do anything so tacky.
Ha ha! What did they choose for him, Khandro?
ed's choices were:-
Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika – South African National Anthem
Jerusalem
The Ballad of Joe Hill – Paul Robeson
Take on Me – A-Ha
Sweet Caroline – Neil Diamond
Angels – Robbie Williams
Change of time – Josh Ritter
Je ne regrette rien – Edith Piaf
apart from the south African national anthem, none of them are going to make him look cool - so my guess is they are his choices.
david cameron's on the other hand featured radiohead. which I don't believe for one moment.
As I have absolutely no information about any of the Euro candidates I will not be voting.
