It weighs heavy on your mind, Tilly x
LOL.
why shouldn't you, tilly? I can remember things from much earlier than that - and I've not been told about them, they are definitely memories in my head. I can remember how I felt at the time - like finding the tortoise in the grass when I was about two and a half.
Do we have a mining theme here, Yilly ?.

I can remember all the words. I think my dad must have sang it a lot.

(Boxy, have you seen my post about The Lady returning?)
Question Author
I know that one as well, Yont. Thank you. (You can laugh, now)
OOh no, tilly, I'll go and look!

I can clearly remember my dad's 40th birthday party, again I was less than 3 at the time.
(You can laugh, now)

Thank you, ma'am.
Wow, thank you Tilly

Yont, I didn't want to get into trouble again.
It's ok, Yilly, I understand.

Psybbo, you deserve best answer for making me splutter my spritzer!
I have a vivid memory from when I was 3 years and 1 month old, I sang Clive Dunn's Grandad to my grandad at a boxing Day party at my aunts house.

Happy times :)

I bet you can still remember all the words, Rocky.
I certainly remember 16 Tons and Working in the Coal Mine. I also remember a song called, I think, Duke of Earl, which always makes people laugh for some reason.
Does anyone else have "wrong memories", something they remember but are told is untrue? I have always "remembered" as a very small child, I'd be almost 3, going down the side of the house with my Mother to get some coal. The neighbour across the road came over and told my Mother "Isn't it awful the King's dead". My Mother said it never happened, my Father told her when he got up to go to work, and believed I must have been wrong. However, during the Jubilee a couple of years ago, it was said that the announcement was made in the late morning, after the Dad had gone to work, so now I don't know what to believe, my Mother's no longer around to question. I know it's very trivial, but it really bugs me, I can see my little self going round to the coal place!
zebo, don't mention the 'Coal Place' the boogyman lived in ours.
Now you've got me remembering my gramophone, His Master's Voice and Elvis singing Old Shep
For Psybbo.

You are lucky, tony, I was thrown into the house pit.

Got crucified at 14 when I stood on a nail in the middle of the coal heap, right through both sides of the foot.
House pit, DT !, is that the cellar ?.
Yeah, those nails hurt, had one go through my foot to, DT, that tetanus jab stung to.
