At least one of the "characters" mentioned in the op was employed by the EUSSR, as are others who post on here under pseudonyms. One of the conditions imposed on them by their former employer, if they want to draw the pension that they have sold their souls for, is to never criticise the EUSSR or their pensions could be withheld. They are also encouraged to sing its praises and they are "supplied" with pro EU propaganda in all the "literature" that they receive from their former employers. One of my partner's ex work colleagues worked in Brussels as an interpreter, very well paid and massive expense account with large ones all round. The ex colleague of hers was sickened by much of what went on and stuck it out because it was too good to miss. Now on massive pension and reminded often that the pension comes with conditions. It used to be called bribery or hush money.

My wife, in her 70's left school after her A levels and joined BSR a record player manufacturer in Dudley. W.Midlands as a wages clerk .
It was a dead end boring job so she took up employment in Ibezia in a hotel on the tourist desk. She was 17 and lived with a Spanish taxi driver and his family. Her Spanish is fluent now albeit with an Ibizan dialect. We have her work visa still which wrongly describes her as a Spanish interpreter. If a 17 year old ex schoolgirl who didn't speak Spanish can apply for a visa and work in Ibezia for as long as she wished. Is it really beyond the wit for anyone to get a visa these day?
As for fruit and veg we have a perfectly good Turkish run hypermarket where everything is available. Sadly the Sainsbury's supermarket opposite is incapable of stocking their counters. That is no fault of Brexit.
We don't need cheap slave labour from abroad to pick our produce in the fields. We are still paying for slavery and apologising for it a hundred years after we stopped it. We need the lame and the lazy to get off their backsides and work and for the farmers to pay a fare wage for their labour.
How the hell do you think this country coped before joining the EU? Very well thank you.
