Looking forward to this. Diane Abbot & a UKIP MP are on it.
Wonder what the swivel-eyed loon will come out with.
Douglas Carswell should be interesting too.

"Of course Abbot was cheered." Oh you disappoint me. I thought you were going to say it was because they were in Newton Abbott ...

That was Question Time, dunitall.
Ah! Sorry mate.
Questions, questions. Any time.
Any Questions is a wireless programme - something of an acquired taste.
As at 20:39 tonight, UKIP's only MP, who is part of the panel, is struggling under a sustained attack by the other three members. He completely lost the debate over the naked racism expressed by some UKIP supporters. All he had to do was to admit that some, at least, of his supporters are there because they perceive UKIP to be a natural home for their racists views. But instead he pretended that there wasn't a problem in that area.

Farage has worked very hard these last few months, in weeding out the more extreme loony and swivel-eyed of his Members, and I give him credit for that work. But there still appears to be a rump left behind which may ultimately be his undoing.

By the way, there is nothing remotely "acquired" about liking and listening the "Any Questions". It is one of the Beebs most long-running programs and I for one would miss it if it wasn't there.
And it's on again tomorrow if you missed it
I listened to this and Mikey is quite right: Carswell was up against it on racists in UKIP. He has a problem now of course, because he simply can't admit that his new party attracts racists and xenophobes: wouldn't be very wise of him. I'd be surprised by the way of Farage has, in fact, succeeded in ridding the party of the loons. He's asking a lot fielding 650 candidates without any of them turning out to be rather gyroscopic in the ocular department. And that's before you get down to ordinary party members, councillors and supporters.
The biggest cheer of the night was for Diane Abbott's comment to Carswell: "if you lie down with dogs you get fleas" . Given that this programme was broadcast from Newton Abbot in Devon, where UKIP are hoping to make ground on the Lib Dems, and given that it also came from the University of the Third Age, traditionally the source of UKIP's core support (tho' impossible to say how many of the audience were retirees) that was most heartening.

Of course Abbot was cheered. It wouldn't matter if they recorded in a Munich Bierkeller as long as the socialist workers party receive free tickets, coach travel and 15 cans of lager each. (to put them in the hollering mood)
Can't wait to listen to it and 'Any Answers' tomorrow!
"Of course Abbot was cheered."

As for her fatuous claims about being abused on twitter by UKIP supporters, which I notice the AB brains trust bought into.
There's nothing to stop mikey & ichi opening twitter accounts tonight and saying 'we're UKIP supporters and we think Diane Abbot is a,,,,,,,(add own expletives).
