Hot and directed at the windscreen only.
air con will clear it quicker too if you switch that one.

Do you have air-con? If so, use it. My handbook recommends this for demisting as the air it produces is dry.

Yes air con will get rid of it a lot quicker,providing it is working o.k.

Hot, full blast on the windscreen with driver's door window cracked open to let it out and prevent you from being overheated (oo err!)

What is odd is that cars without AC are able to clear misting with the blower.
I can only clear mine with the AC on, strange that.

Make sure the air recirculation button is not pressed, as that will lead to bad misting up.
Also check under your mats to see if the carpets are damp.
If you have a leak, the inside of the car will be moist all the time.

Yes, if it is pressed in, then it keeps recirculating the air from inside the car, and not taking any fresh air in, so the air gets more and more moist.
I only use it if I am about to drive past a smokey bonfire.

Air con is the best solution, out of curiousity, is your car a Rover?
I once owned a Rover 600, it was terrible for misting up.

In answer to ur questions... I think maybe I am just sizzling hot which mists up the windows JOKE!!!! And no, it's not a rover, but my Dad used to have one and his did the same too!!!
