Alloy wheel refurbishment

I realise that it's relatively straight forward getting painted alloy wheels refurbished...but what about polished alloys? Can they be cosmetically repaired in the event of kerbing or scratching?

its called diamond turned... The most effective way is to turn the wheels on a lathe using a pre-programmed profile of your particular wheel. This process removes a fine layer of alloy exposing a fresh new look for the wheel. For safety reasons we won't refurbish wheels that have already

It is possible to re-finish alloys, dinks and even splits can be filled with weld which is then turned down on a lathe and the whole repolished and lacquered. My friend has a business doing just that and there are big companies that do it as well.
Google 'alloy wheel refurbishment' and you get loads of companies.
