volt meter reading

What should the volt meter reading be on a 12v car batt after its been on trickle charge for a few hours.

About 12.5 - 12.8 with the engine off.

delphfolk - hope your batery is ok. A simple VM reading is sometimes not good enough to fully check that a battery is ok under load, you could still have a cell failing.
