I'd be interested in anyone's opinions on the following item I've been watching.

What do you think the reserve might be set at, about £4000 maybe?
Do you think its worth it, do you think it'll make the reserve?
How much do you reckon It'll go for?

I might be tempted. Don't know how easy it would be to sell on though.

You could send him/her a message through Ebay and ask the seller if they would accept £4000. The car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it IE it has no book value so it is sold on it's general condition. It would be hard to find another in that condition and that sort of mileage and only two owners.

Message the seller saying you are very interested and ask what the reserve is as you have a budget to work to... worked for me in the past.

I agree with Mick - £4K won't get it , interesting to see what it does bring, some years since I sold one of those. Happy days.

Rear brake pads are a pain to change if I remember rightly, inboard calipers.

tonyav......yes inboard either side of the diff...you need a mirror to change them.

Yes BRIGHT SPARK a severe pain in the butt to change as were the old Jag XJ6's.

Yeah its nice Mick, the price reflects to work needing doing, perhaps for the money I ought to be lowering my sights a bit. Afraid I haven't got 60k for the other one... :(

That is just awesome and I would love it! I think it will go quite high maybe even 6K.

Yep, you were right about the reserve Mamyalynne, wishful thinking on my part, £4 maybe £4.5k, sale of the century..too good to be true.
Looks like BRIGHT SPARK could be nearer the money. Still interesting to see what it makes though.

Noth......it looks a great car.If I was interested I would go and view.The only downside..and its a big one on a classic...theres no history! It may knock 20% off the value, But at 6k its worth a look.The ad is very well presented with 2500 views.

Yes, it was £4900 with 23 bids down and 30mins to go, a mad scramble at the finish. Not to worry, other days and all that.....
