As with every year I buy a TV Mag and await with baited breath for what we have to look forward to and highlight what I want to watch. To save me the trouble this year can anyone tell me what time the soaps are on and if there are any good films worth watching. Thanks.

Why are you not buying your own TV Mag . Much easier than relying on others .

Buying a TV mag would be quicker. And why do you suppose people would take the time to trawl through a TV mag, list out soaps and films by date and time and then reinput it all to Answerbank to save you buying a TV mag and doing it yourself?
If you won't pay for a tv guide there are plenty online such as Radio Times:

Most of the tv guides are just £1, errrrrr!

Here's an online site that shows what's on.....

....and, one person's "good film" is another person's "awful rubbish"...I've had films recommended to me and 10 minutes was all I could take!
If The Great Escape, Spartacus, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Magnificent Seven aren't on, I'll be well miffed!
What no Yogi and Boo ;-)

Why do people always assume the worst, it's not about the cost guys, just not looking forward to Christmas that's all. Anyway thank you for all the kind responses. I was told I must watch the Great Escape and I did watch about 3 hours of it and it was a brill film but I did fall asleep so I am hoping to catch it again this year x
Hiya Cupid....Hope you're well, my lovely, and Happy Christmas to you and all yours xxxxxx

The Great Escape is probably my favourite all time war film, and any time it's on, and I'm in, always watch it, errrrrr
I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase, but it's already been on. Pure escapism.

"await with baited breath"
Does anybody know what "with baited breath" actually means?
Or is it just a phrase everybody uses when they are being sarcastic?
And shouldn't the correct phrase be "with bated breath"?
Question Author
Chanel5 you could never accuse me of not being sarcastic but lets be honest TV is not great at Christmas unless you are a kid or you have kids.
