I've started a new thread, hope that's ok.
Just wanted to shout at Ruth tonight, she really is getting so irritating. Does she expect them to discuss every detail of everything with her!

A soap??? How dare you call The Archers a SOAP!! It's an everyday story of countryfolk, with an input from DEFRA, or whoever they are, of helpful advice for the farmers, social-mountaineering advice from Linda and a moral story about avoiding dodgy men like RT, though Helen's not a listener.

He speaks very highly of you, Mikey.
He's very, very good at recovering any lost ground and then worming, mikey.
lol Hoppy !

Last night was classic Titchener.

"What was Charlie like ?"

"Oh, I have a lot of time for him, really I do, but........"

And what is he going to do with the dirt that tumbled out of Jennifer, after too many glasses of poo ?
He promised not to say what he heard.
That Titchener is spreading poison like a puff adder !
Mikey444, you sound surprised! How do ABers think that the Beeb will resolve the Helen/Rob situation? Will his divorce turn out to be phoney or did he fiddle the DNA test or will Helen get wise to him
I don't think the DNA test were faked, or that the divorce was phoney.

If you give somebody like Titchener enough rope, they will eventually hang themselves. He will go too far one day, probably around Xmas, and someone important will see through him. My guess is Pat, or perhaps Peggy.

I also think that Adam will land one right on his nose, given half a chance, and we must all be looking forward to that !
Interesting, isn't it? At first everyone in the family distrusted/disliked Rob (my son-in-law is called Rob, by the way, I hesitated before saying his name today!) except for Helen, who loved him. Now (very nearly) everyone really likes him - except Helen, who is trying to stay in love with him by telling herself she's wrong about things and he's right.

I still wonder about the paternity test, but can't imagine how it could have been faked, the divorce couldn't have been.

There is the postulated visit by his parents - Helen answered the phone, remember. Perhaps if that is Christmas-time-ish it may provoke a crisis!
They won't resolve it quickly.

Like Eastenders, they will milk a story for years.

I wonder if something will come out of the history of Berrow Farm to muddy his 'good' name.
Does anyone on here know if the scan next week will show the presence of a winkie or not ?
Question Author
It would be great if it doesn't Mikey - can't imagine what Rob's reaction would be. He just loves spreading dirt, doesn't he. I hope Charlie eventually speaks up about the blocked culvert and the money shortages. At the moment I think Rob is trying to blacken Charlie's names with Justin.
The storyline with the Grundys is going to be a tear jerker I suspect
Remind me Mikey, why is Rob so obsessed with Adam?
Rob thoroughly disapproves of Adams gayness. He is also a nasty spiteful person, who will do anything to discredit anyone who isn't on his wave length, but most of all, he is jealous of his wife's close relationship with Adam and Ian, and sees it as a threat to his own ability to confuse and bully her.

Didn't Adam lump one on him a while ago?

(by that I mean hit him)
Hoppy...I am ashamed to say I can't remember !

I think there is a secondary storyline in the pipeline. Justin has been fishing about, trying to find enough dirt on Charlie Thomas, to justify his sacking him. I can see Titchener being offered the job !
I may well be very wide of the mark, but a little bit of me wonders if Rob is gay.

He is ashamed of who he is and consequently asserts his masculinity by degrading the women in his life and displaying a dislike of homosexuals.

Just a thought..........
Eccles....It was always said that boys at Public School who were gay were
"good at sport" so you may very well be right !

A repressed homesexual perhaps. They do say that the difference between a straight man and a gay man is about 8 pints of Stella !
No amount of Stella could turn me gay.
We still don't know what happened that night when Rob
and Helen went off to bed. Helen was upset next day. An "unnatural" act perhaps?
