I wonder who thought it a good idea to invite Ms Brand back? Her silly words are totally unfunny IMO

Like David, I dislike crude, vulgar, coarse people - both men and women.  For the same reason I dislike Miriam Margolyes - another ghastly woman.

Is her humour still centered around her being fat? She was a one trick pony 30 years ago, and the few times I've seen her since it didn't seem to me that it had moved on.

Wasn't it Ruby Wax who started this silly nonsense word thing , on Countdown

She's pinching a living, not funny and can not come up with any words, god knows what the regulars on the show think of her.

No, Jo does not still go on about being fat. That was possibly one joke about 30 years ago.

I like her and her funny 'words', but I haven't watched Countdown for quite a while. Anne Robinson put me off.

I hope tomorow is her last day, I couldn't abide her any longer. Hate the way Colin is pandering to her, did I hear him saying that she would be back?

Ah Colin, now there's an annoyance

Jo Brand and Miriam Margolyes the two most unfunny women ever.

I dont mind Jo Brand in some things, but I don't like her smuttiness. She seems to be quite a nice person.   Like Vagus, I just can't stand Miriam Margolyes and she is ghastly in all respects, but others do like her.  I don't mind a bit of mild smuttiness, but some comediens rely on using nasty swear words rude jokes and crude behaviour and I hate it from  both men and women.

I agree, adding coarse words does not add anything more to a joke, same as unpleasant epithets add nothing to points made on Answerbank.

"Anne Robinson put me off. "

Colin Murray will put you back on or you have no soul!

I suppose both being hideously ugly and grossly obese with no lady-like qualities all they have to fall back on is their lavatorial humour with mouths replacing sewer outlets. Disgusting unfunny apologies for womankind.

Douglas, I love Colin, he has really livened up the programme. He has a good rapport with the others and the contestants

I don't know why but I just have a feeling that somewhere down the line there's going to be another Earth-shattering scandal, TV prwenter-wise.

Question Author

Not sure what you're getting at Douglas, can you please explain

He gives me the creeps, like Schofield did. He's not real.

Don't forget retro  there are a lot of men who are just as bad and don't do mankind any favours.

If Jo Brand has received any money for her appearances on Countdown this week, then it's definitely been money for old rope. Colin makes it worse by his false laughter. He must be told by the producers that he's got to join in and try to make it look like JB is funny. Not a good decision by C4 to have her on.

I honestly think that Anne was the best host of Countdown - she made the contestants the most important people of the show and focused on them more than any other host.

She had a great rapport with many of them and I know she spent time with all of them before filming began, unlike Richard.

Well, that puts a whole new light on Anne Robinson. The press reported that Susie and Rachel didn't like her, and that she insisted on having a nap partway through the day, leaving everyone hanging around.

I think I might give it another go. I used to like Countdown.

(Can't bear Miriam Margolyes. I love Jo Brand)

Miriam impressed me on her tour of Australia.  She realised she had offended some people and was very sincere in her apologies, made no excuses and admitted she was wrong.

Not the first time I've seen her apologise.
