Look at the size of this bloke....no wonder he hasn't had any trouble after coming out !

Lets hope others follow him....the days of bigotry are surely over now.

I don't give a stuff who sportsmen sleep with. Do they even need to "come out"? In my day, boys who were thought of as gay were taunted and bullied. Now, thankfully it seems easier. A friend of my son's decided to "come out". Everyone just said "yeah, we knew already" and got on with whatever they were doing.

Fine for the fans – but as a heterosexual player I’d be reluctant to share changing facilities and showers with people who might take a fancy to me! Not terribly politically correct I know, but there you are.

Why wouldn't most fans not give a darn ? It's hardly news. It's the minority of fans who would feel a need to object, and as usual it is minorities that cause problem. (Fans aren't even in the position of stripping off in front of their gay teammates in the changing rooms and wondering if they are being admired, so the fans don't even have that to be concerned about.)

Much as a I support this chap, and give my thanks to his team mates, that rugby kit though !

I know Tough Guys can wear pink, and all that, but.....well, it is terribly pink, isn't it.

Anyway, as most rugby players spend their weekends in a very tight scrum with lots of other big hairy chaps, and then take a bath altogether, is there really much difference ? ( ! )

Bit cliched ^^ !

Yes, perhaps Baldric, but probably true anyway. I went along on a Rugby trip when I was in my mid-twenties, and some of things that went on, especially on the bus home, were much too graphic to describe here !
The mind boggles, mikey. :)) What do rugby players get up to? I know they put fingers in certain places where no one really wants them during a scrum, but that's nothing to do with being gay.

Was the kit pink for a breast cancer charity match?
Could be people are just nosey .singer or winger could not care less .
Question Author
Jo....you don't want to know, you really don't ! There is a fair amount testicle massaging that goes on as well. Its not called Rugger-Beggars for nothing you know !

I hadn't thought about the breast cancer angle....if its true, then my admiration for the Team knows no bounds.
Ooh gosh, I can feel the pain, and I don't even have any testicles. I'm glad I'm not a man sometimes. :)
well that's the Taffs for you mikey!
Does someones sexual preference really matter to others?

Well, it may to Naomi but then I wonder what makes her think she maybe desirable anyway.

Who cares, accept people for the person they are, not some preconceived idea of what they maybe or desire.
However, 8% of football fans said they would stop watching their team.

I doubt that figure.
I agree, Mikey.
I think, regardless of Naomi's stated reluctance, that it really is a fan, not a player thing, especially at the top level. And it is a "man" thing mainly too. Many female footballers are openly gay: we even had a gay married couple in the hockey team (the only female footballer I know is openly gay).
Well yes, 1ozzy. I was going to say something similar, but didn't.
Lots of heterosexual men don't fancy me, so why might gay women? I have never worried about the sexuality of women in changing rooms, or the ones that grope you while going through security at airports.
//or the ones that grope you while going through security at airports//

Probably the job they are paid to do Clover, who knows if they enjoy it or not ;-/
1ozzy. This is far from the first time you've had an unprovoked dig at me. I seem to have upset you but I've no idea why. Very odd.
I'm sure they don't. It must be quite hideous at times.
Most gay people have a decent gaydar.
