Having been recently introduced to the complexity of Badges. Is it good practice to award a best answer on your own threads, What's the general rule of thumb thanks. I dont get the badges and i am still undecided about best answer!
What happens if you choose one then somebody else comes up with something better? Confused feathers
Only you can award best answer on your own thread and change as the case may be, the badges are set by the site, for instance how long you've been a member, if you've been involved in debates or whatever.
My view on this Badge thing, If persons have the time to read, the decency to answer in a polite way, each and every one on here deserves a "Best Answer Badge" Two.
If I'm asking for specific advice or ideas, I have a tendency to select a best answer but if it's just a general chit-chat thread, I don't see the point (unless someone makes a hilarious comment).
