A quote from an old American movie

I have this quote in the back of my head and it may or not be even correct.
"Whatta ya know? Whatta ya say?"
I'm thinking one of those early '30's or '40's American actors in a comedy movie.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Is it the Bowery Boys in Angels with Dirty Faces. I think James Cagney and Pat O'brien were in it too.

I think you may be thinking of Leo Gorcey and The Bowery Boys in the early 1950s.

W Ron.
In the 2009 film Public Enemies, one of the characters does a James Cagney impersonation and says something like "What do you see? What do you say? What do you know?"

So it could be an old Cagney film, but I don't know which one!
When I saw that I thought Cagney as well.

Thanks everyone for your prompt replies. You probably won't believe me, but here goes. I said that I thought the quote was made by a comedy actor in an American film, but just prior to writing the question, I suggested to a friend that it was made by Jimmy Cagney in 'Public Enemy'. Alas, I was put off JC altogether, lol. :)
(Both are great films, btw!)
