Inspector Montalbano....

Isn't he a fine figure of a man!!?? Watching ep.2 on series record (love it!) seen the rest but seemed to miss this episode out for some reason. Very long episodes but I'm not complaining, means Salvo gets more face time ;-)
Really hope series 2 comes out - god I find Livia annoying though! Stop shouting at him! Poor Salvo!!

I find since its Italian that the stories seem a little less predictable for an english audience maybe? I know I can never guess!

Just thought I would voice my praise to other Montalbano fans out there! Need to sleep but need to know how this episode ends!

xoxo.

Andrea Camilleri wrote this to help Sicilian children/teenagers improve their English.

do we get this in Scotland ? if so where ?
It only finished the other week and I miss it already. Best foreign language police show on TV - far better than Wallander which was a little gory at times. Montalbano is much lighter and he is very easy on the eye!!!

Thanks annemollie for the pictures, oh he's lovely!! I don't know about scotland murraymints but the first series just ended here like quizzywig said.

Its so good! Such a good series! I could never warm to Wallander, it just looked too cold and dark all the time! And I love the humour in it!

Pleased some ABers appreciate it too (and salvo's face of course!)
Murraymints, you've just missed this series - it was on BBC4 - and will probably be there again when it returns. Do not miss! Montalbano is short, squat, bald and bowlegged, and totally desirable. And how much pleasanter it is to view a highly-coloured country, rather than the shades of sepia that Scandinavia is enveloped in.
I should also add that all the women appear to have gorgeous bazooms, apparently unenhanced.
I've recorded The Bridge to watch but being a swedish/danish production I've a feeling I'm in for a disappointment. Hurry back Salvo!
I read somewhere that Livia was dubbed - she's a swedish actress. I don't like her either, swanny.
Question Author
I've not heard of the bridge is that a series?

Oh I didn't realise Livia is played by a Swede, I have searched for more info on her and her character out of interest but I didn't really get anywhere. I mean, what is her job? And how did they meet? And what does she do all day other than moan at poor Salvo!?

Can't wait for series 2 to come! If anyone hears anything about it feel free to post it on here! I'd be pleased to know!
