shoplifting

a friend of mine a year ago admitted to shoplifting at a golf shop and was banned from this shop .however the shop is now changed name and is still a golf shop i know the same people work there as i went in the other day to buy something ,is he stilled banned from this shop ? thank you

Never accept a caution without taking legal advice, and never ever accept one if you believe you are not guilty. A 'simple caution' is an admission of guilt, and can stay on your record indefinitely in some cases.

Who banned him initially, the shopkeepers or the Courts?
Is he still a thief?
Does changing the shop name really make any difference?

the shop did and he's not a theif he said it was a mix up with someone in the shop to borrow a club but to make things easier he took a simple caution for it
He admitted to something he didn't do?
So he's not a thief yet he admitted to shoplifting and got banned?
