Write to the Chief Constable of the force, heading your letter 'Negligence by Investigating Officers'. (Get the address from the force's website) Word your letter roughly as follows. (Keep it short. You can provide further information later if asked to do so): "Sir I reported multiple offences of rape against me to officers of your force last year, naming...

Speak to the police Bonkers, and take it from there.
I assume that this question relates to your previous posts but without details of 'a mistake that I made' it's unlikely that anyone here will be able to provide a definitive response.

Closed cases can be re-opened (e.g.when it can be shown that a victim only withdrew a complaint because of intimidation) but we need more information to advise you as to whether there's any likelihood of that happening in your own case.

Ok,will try and be specific, thank you. My ex was also charged with rape! He had bragged to friends that he had sexually assaulted me several times after plying me with drink, I asked him several times why I was bruised (my thighs, arms etc) after a night out, also because of the pain, he would always say I fell into things etc hence the bruising, in my heart I had my suspicion but was scared to have it confirmed. It was confirmed the day I saw the messages he had written to a mate confirming what I knew. I was mortified and called the police, they charged him and said they could retrieve the deleted messages on Facebook and they believed me cos I also went to my doctors and told her my fears. Weeks went by and please do not ask why, but I met him and he cried saying it was in my head etc.. However, I went to the police and told them he had broke bail conditions but they told me I had jeopardise the whole case and did I want to continue etc. I assured them I did and they said they would send the file to the cps. Week later they rang and said Nfc.!!I was gobsmacked, I rang the Cps and they told me they had never received that particular file!! Police lied to me! Anyway, last nite my ex's wife appeared fringe nowhere as she had heard what had happened to me.. Well blow me down.. He had raped her too!!! I am in shock, I am emotional, he cannot do this to anyone else.. Surely I can do something to stop him, he is evil, cold calculated and thus cannot happen again! Many thanks, I know I will be frowned upon, but DV took over my life for 3 years.

Really sorry ,but i am a bag of nerves with this latest revelation ...my ex has a daughter that has not spoke to him for over 7yrs ..he claimed he never knew why ..well i am sure that i know why now !His ex wife was terrified of him ,when she eventually managed to get away from him she moved to another county and has not seen him since ! It is only because her son mentioned to her that his dad was in trouble for beating me and breaching a non molest order, that she felt i had a right to know as she also knew about the rape charge ...

Word your letter roughly as follows. (Keep it short. You can provide further information later if asked to do so):

"Sir

I reported multiple offences of rape against me to officers of your force last year, naming the offender and directing those officers to evidence in the form of Twitter messages. I was told that a file was to be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service but then told that no further action was to be taken. I assumed that this was because the CPS had decided that there was insufficient evidence for a successful prosecution but I have now found out that the CPS never even received the file. I therefore believe that your officers have been negligent by failing to submit the evidence to the CPS for their consideration and simply closing the case of their own volition.

I request that an investigation be carried out into this matter and that a case file be presented to the CPS.

Yours . . . "
