Would you let someone steal your car? Of course not so why give them the opportunity to steal your home. With motor-home insurance you know your four-wheeled companion and all its content are covered should something unfortunate happen to it, such as it gets stolen or damaged.

Insure your motor-home is safe:

Motor-homes, like puppies, are not just for Christmas they are for life, so treat them as such and ensure they know how much they are worth. It is more than likely that you will need comprehensive insurance cover to protect your life long investment and make sure you are fully protected should the worst happen. The wrong type of insurance cover could jeopardise your journey of a lifetime.

People tend to only use their motor-homes from time to time, usually around holiday times, which means that they may start to rust if just left for long periods of time. This being the case many people neglect their insurance cover and often forget to renew their policies, meaning if something unfortunate happened to their motor-home while it is sitting on their drive they wouldn’t be able to claim anything back because there policy may no longer be valid.

It isn’t only the motor - home that is at risk from theft or damage it is also the contents. Often there is a TV and many personal belongings kept inside, which need to be taken into consideration when pricing up your insurance policy. You don’t want someone driving away with your possessions to later find out that your insurance policy doesn't cover all of your motor-home contents

Keep your home secure:

Motor-homes may look sturdy enough but they are not indestructible, it isn’t impossible to break into or to damage them so by getting your part–time home fitted with extra security precautions you are minimising the risk of theft and vandalism.

An alarm is always a good option and a huge deterrent to possible thieves, one look at a fixed alarm and a burglar is likely to not take the risk. However there are still cases of theft and even if you do get your mobile home back in one piece the contents pay have been taken and sold before they have a chance to be traced.

Motor-homes are a specialist type of vehicle and therefore have their own unique insurance policies, and with such a competitive market you are guaranteed to find a great deal to suit you – and by shopping online you may even get a better deal, with no paper work and no queues.
