The odds of winning the "normal" uk lottery is about 14 million to one.

So if there were 14 million balloons in Wembley stadium, and only one had your name inside it, then that is the odds you pick out the right balloon if you could ony pick one balloon (blindfolded !).

There is nothing you can do to gaurantee you will win the lottery. If there was then...

But 14 million tickets and you'll be guaranteed a jackpot win.
pick the 6 numbers that are gonna come out on Saturday night

The odds of winning the "normal" uk lottery is about 14 million to one.

So if there were 14 million balloons in Wembley stadium, and only one had your name inside it, then that is the odds you pick out the right balloon if you could ony pick one balloon (blindfolded !).

There is nothing you can do to gaurantee you will win the lottery. If there was then everyone would do it.

But there are various things you can do to reduce the odds a little.

One example is to NOT buy one ticket each week, but every 7 weeks buy 7 tickets.

These seven tickets should have a spread of the same 7 numbers. So lets suppose your numbers were 1234567.

The first ticket has 123456 on it, the second has 234567, the third has 134567 and so on (you leave one number out each time). So you buy 7 rows, each with the 6 different numbers.

That way you have 7 numbers covered out of the 49 instead of 6, reducing the odds a little. Not a lot, but a little.

I am not a statistcial expert so no doubt someone will say the odds dont change at all, we shall see. I understood they do.
Seems my suggestion about buying multiple tickets is called Lotto Wheeling. Buying a small set of numbers is "Abbreviated Wheeling", buying ALL the numbers (like Chuck says) is Full Wheeling.

Of course Full Wheeling can fail as it costs 14 million pounds to buy all the posssible UK lottery numbers, but if 2 or 3 or more people win it the amount won is shared.

Seems a full lottery wheel was done in the Irish lottery once when they bought all the tickets possible (over a million).

hi vhg- if I've understood you I don't agree with the bit about picking certain combinations of numbers.
Play Russian Roulette Lotto

Choose six numbers, but don't buy a ticket.

Check the numbers, and rejoice at the £1 saved. (hopefully)
i´ve heard you can use dreams,
worth a try
I won Saturday just gone. (Oh yes it was only ten pound) been doing it since it started paying one pound a week won approx 3 x £10 and one £80.00 I must be well out of pocket.
First you have to play, than guess you have to pray the numbers will come to you one night.Think u have to be pretty lucky to actually win it.
Typical British understatement there, WesJedward
another hint....the winning numbers will be 1 - 49 inclusive!
sorry....meant to say they would be any 6 out of 1 - 49 inclusive

hahahahhaha! well maybe i should be buying more than one ticket then! im looking for an interesting way to pick the numbers.......perhaps stick numbers 1-49 up around the house and use the first 6 that fall down?!
Sorry but this is dead easy.

▪ First thing is to build yourself a time travel machine.
▪ You then use it to travel forward in time until after the next draw.
▪ Note the numbers and then travel back to your original time.
▪ Get a lottery ticket and use the numbers you noted.

One word of caution, make sure you didn't travel to an alternative universe when you time travelled above. Their lottery numbers may be different.
