Sticking Tills To A Door

I have some pretty tiles (about 4"x4") that I want to stick to a wooden gate. They have raised ridges on the back so 'command' stickers might not work.
I tried before to stick them to a brick wall with No More Nails but they fell off.
Any other thoughts?

You could stick them to a board, laid flat, then prepare the surface by screwing some small mesh wire netting to it. Then fix the tiles with tiling grout should do it, make sure it is well worked into the mesh. Then screw the board to the gate.

Make sure the grout has set fully before you move the board.

That's boatman, but that sounds really complicated.
OldG I'll let you know how Araldite works.
