We are looking to buy a shower from a company (ie b and q) that fits showers free if bought from them or at least for a very reasonable fixed fee.
Had drainhero come out and they quoted us that it would take about an hour to fit at £90 p/h labor charge.
Thank inadvance for any advice here.

I agree with the others, get a price for supply and fit from a local. I generally wouldn't use a firm that priced work by the hour, I want a price for the job, that way you know exactly what you're paying.

labor ?

I'm not able to answer your question but I think I'd be more concerned with getting the shower I wanted than the fitting cost.
I had an independent plumber fit ours, the price he quoted, for the model I wanted, was for "supply and fit". Go to a good local plumber and enquire.

By the way, the plumber who fitted our bathroom said it was a nightmare for them when people buy kit (which we did, from B&Q) then expect another company to fit it - if they buy themselves, they can be sure they've got all the bits and bobs and connectors they need.
I agree with the others Rowen. Do your research and choose the exact shower you would like.
Then have a plumber or handyman supply & fit.

I am going to buy the unit now. I just don't know what is a reasonable fitting price. Is £90 p/h reasonable, feels way to high. What do we think?
I wish I could get anywhere near £90 per hour, Rowen.

To be fair...
They've made one visit already.......... so a cost incurred there.
Travel to and from the job ......... more costs

So, if they fit it for £90 all-in, then that would work out about right.
Alternatively... a local handyman at around £15-20 per hour plus fittings.
Well, don't take advice then, rowen - you might find you are paying more for it if you buy it too, since a professional will get a trade discount.....

That's what I was thinking too !boxy

@boxtops "Well, don't take advice then, rowen", I am asking opinions on is £90 p/h reasonable for fitting. Your comment was taken as rude.
In all fairness your primary question was very muddled.
You received advice.
Ignored it by stating you were going shopping.
And then get huffy because it was pointed out you were ignoring the good and consistent advice.

Given the cost of a Tradesman's time, I think to get free fitting you would be paying a vastly inflated retail price.
