Thanks Boxtops, I don't need to know how to get rid of Rust. I want to know how to get rid of ironmould.

Any other suggestions Anyone?
Sorry - I googled removing Iron mould, that's what came up - with lots of other suggestions too. I'll try again.

Ironmould stains should dissolve in any weak acid solution- try citric acid crystals in warm water (or even lemon juice) or white vinegar.
A few years ago I successfully removed ironmould from an antique lace bedspread using 'salts of lemon' - an acid of some variety. Had to get it from a chemist and he questioned me because it's poisonous but it worked (one of those Victorian remedies)
