I know these are a perennial but my mother never had any luck with keeping them alive. She has a blue and white striped African Violet and now that she has died, I would like to keep it. I have looked at the internet but I just wondered if anyone has any personal tips as to how to care for it.

Thanks woofgang. I think the living room coffee table might be a good place for it then. It`s light but not in the sun.
Don't be tempted to water it until it's desperate. They are often killed by overwatering.
