Croydon Airport Mystery

Does anyone know about an urban legend where the wreckage of a pre-war aircraft was discovered sealed up in a false wall of a hangar or similar still surviving Croydon Airport building. Apparently the building is currently used for storage by a leading fashion chain and although the discovery was made during renovations the authorities (I think!) ordered the wall to be re-sealed and the owners refuse all requests to investigate or discuss it.
I'm certain I read about this a few years ago but cannot find anything about it now on the web.
Thanks

...great story.
'Chanel refused to allow us to take a picture of the aircraft or share any information they have with us or the Croydon Airport Society.

'A Chanel spokeswoman said: "I am afraid we do not wish to communicate on the topic of the buried aircraft."'

How weird is that?

Thanks for the link Chinajan! Very strange how they are so keen to keep it so quiet.
If this "story" is a true one and the pilot is still in there then the question is: Who was he and why are they hiding him? Was he a spy,was he carrying secret documents. Also, is this incident on non disclosure list, that is not to be opened for years???
Also didn`t Glen Miller disappear around that time,re the 1943 air crash.
Just a thought.

You would think that revealing all would be good publicity for Chanel. Also, surely if there is any suspicion that the remains of the pilot are there too then the police would be involved.
Curiouser and curiouser!
