Garrys mod

Im wondering if i should buy this game for £6.99 off steam. My only hesitation is that i fear it wont run smoothly on my laptop. I intend to run the game on its lowest settings. Here are the specs of my laptop that i know:

RAM: 4GB
Graphics card: Mobile intel (R) 4 series express chipset family
Hard drive space: C:3.93gb Expansions drive-451gb
Operating system:Windows 7 32-bit
Processor: intel(R) core 2 duo T5800 2.00Ghz

Isn't Garrys mod quite old? I would imagine the spec you list will be fine.

According to Wikipedia:
"Despite being a standalone game, Garry's Mod requires the user to own at least one game on Steam based on the Source engine, such as Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Portal, or Team Fortress 2".

Since (again according to Wikipedia) each of those games has generally the same system requirements as Garry's Mod, it seems reasonable to assume that if your laptop will run (for example) Half-Life 2, then it will run Garry's Mod.
