Boiled fruit cake

I've had a recipe for ages which was always successful, made one recently and although flavour, texture were lovely and the cake is very moist it doesn't cut well and tends to crumble. I've tried wrapping it in foil and leaving for a few days but that doesn't help, can you? thanks
