I was pretty much anticipating a roast and trimmings, followed by chish and fips......the third option was the one that I was most interested in.

I'm surprised at the fondness for Shepherd's/Cottage pie, it is typically British though.
In this house it's

Bangers n Mash
Cottage Pie
Fry Up
I can't think of a 3rd either.

I know there are traditional British meals but how often do people actually eat them? I can't remember the last time I had cottage/shepherds pie.
Question Author
I have never made a cottage/shepherds pie, too many memories of it being served up when I got back from college on a Friday night by my Mum.

It has only ever reminded me of old people who can't chew and school dinners. The most appealing bit was the crispy bit of potato created by the fork pattern.
I don't really like them either.
Full English breakfast
Fish and chips
Sunday roast - any meat or poultry, with roast potatoes, a variety of veg and gravy

I'm surprised toad in the hole hasn't been mentioned, surely it is a staple across the UK?
I don't like it. I don't really like sausages.
Roast stuffed pork en croute with apple sauce
Roast chicken
Breakfast fry up
I make Cottage Pie quite regularly, OH's fave, and Sausage and Mash is never far away. Don't di the fry ups so much now but they are greeted enthusiastically by everyone.
