My daughter has honeycomb and honey on the inside of window shutters and obviously now needs to find some way of removing the remains. The bees have been safely removed by a bee keeper. The shutters were closed and the bees made their nest between the shutters and the window frame! Any help greatly appreciated.

Something like a butter knife to remove the comb and then scrub with soapy hot water and a nylon scourer.

Thanks to you all for the help. Have passed on comments. Appreciated Peter Pedant thought but the bee's are still trying to return, so the idea putting a tongue out as a deterrent, doesn't really click.
