It tastes like pork - maybe a little stronger but not much.
I've had one that was slightly annoyed.
Amazing is the answer.

Like a richer tasting pork as Dzug2 says.

Spare
Chicken...
No, but I've got ostrich, springbok and reindeer in the freezer - impulse buy. Lidl has a lot to answer for!
really nice - slightly richer and perhaps a hint of pepper if truly wild - known is France as Marcassin in the north (and Belgium) or Sanglier
It is a strong tasting meat if it's wild boar, not so much so if it's been reared. Try cooking it in white wine rather than red as red seems to change the flavour too much.
Where do buy wild boar?

Yes. Where do you buy it from?
You have to go and hunt them down. There are loads of them on Wimbledon Common.
There must be quite a lot running about in North Devon because some animal rights idiots broke into a wild boar farm and set the animals free. They didn`t catch them all so I suppose they will breed in the wild. They`re vicious little things as well. They used to make my horse bolt when I was trail riding in Europe (horses hate pigs)
We found a wild boar tooth in our back garden! Didn't know what it was so took it to a museum who confirmed it as a wild board tooth. I presume it was quite old (Norfolk)
i had wild boar goulash in hungry it was superb.... very rich though

You're leaving yourself open to a few jibes, here.
