Alive alive O ?
And fried in lard. Vegetable oils for frying are not the flavour of the week.
oysters are ok in november, there is an "r" in the month
And so is fresh cod roe, if there's an R in the month.
oooo fresh roe.....delicious.....
Apples, beetroot and cucumber ... Bad!
Dripping sarnies, deep fried mars bars and foie gras ... good

OK I made that up but at least it didn't cost millions of pounds to arrive at my results.
I don't fry my Cockles.
Ah, I thought Oysters were only ok if there wasn't an R in the month.
There's an 'R' in Oyster though.
There's nothing like a toasted winkle tho. Especially on a cold winter's night.
I'll get my pin.
What about mussels with your cockles?
Too mussely.
There seems to be something fishy about this thread. :-) x
